So I decided to get back into racing this year. I'm not sure why, I guess I was tired of watching and photographing races and wanted to get into the action.

Since this is November the only races going on are the Cyclocross over on the old Fort Ord.
My first Cyclocross race did not go that well. After the field lapped me near the end I called it a day. I was told that Cyclocross was fun but this was definitely NOT fun racing near my MHR for 40 minutes. After a week of looking back at that race and seeing what I needed to do to improve I decided to give Cyclocross another shot. This time I was able to stay with a few riders and even passed one near the finish. So this is what racing a bike feels like.
